Can you talk me through how to make the first latest post 'open?' like you have it?
Is it possible to have it show the post count as well?
What about calling it from a specific forum?
I am trying to get the smf/vbulletin effect of having a news article front page linked to the forums.

It's actually very easy, and has even been covered by a whole script! Whee!
However, it has not been updated. Whoo.

Alright it's been a month, but I have to apologize as I have yet to finish.
I was using RSS2HTML in the theme, but two things have changed in the latest version of bbPress:
1) The RSS feed encoding has changed slightly
2) The way themes are accessed has changed
I'm currently live-debugging (stupid I know...), but you should see some results shortly.
any news on something I can work on/with?
